As technology and media landscapes evolve, so does the battlefield for truth and democratic values. Elections are usually at the very heart of the struggle for keeping our societies democratic, free and open. This debate brings together experts from across the USA, Poland and Slovakia to dissect the role of disinformation in shaping political outcomes and public opinions. Guest speakers will analyse recent elections in Slovakia and Poland, and their exposure to foreign and domestic disinformation campaigns and their potential impact on the quality of democracy in the broader CEE region.

Speakers:

Allison Reed, DT Institute, USA

Andrei Yeliseyeu, EAST Centre, Poland

Rasťo Kužel, MEMO98, Slovakia

Moderator:

Matej Kandrík, Adapt Institute, Slovakia
